Oh to be young and Popular...

Thoughts on the morning aftermath of a party, after a long time.

  • New hairstyle maintainence is proving to be a bitch.
  • Suuuper happy makes me Super duper talkative.
  • There are times when Ireally should shut up... I dont know why I have such verbal diarrhoea.
  • Thanks to a dear friend for throwing a great party last night. I always spend the next person orkutting every person I met.
  • Wondering about the pancakes... I need a chef for my kitchen.
  • I like watching top chef.
  • Living with parents is like living in a resort... Everything has a solution and no deliberation time.

Notes to Self...

[Thoughts during the ride to work. ]

  • The best time to organize appointments and network in while on a bumpy auto ride to office.
  • Haircut unleashes  about crazy spontanous side.
  • Carrying a 5 feet tall pvc pipe on streets of Delhi earns you strange looks. BUT fails to scare auto wallah's into submission.
  • An ice cream topped cold coffee shake followed by chocolate cake produces a series of half burps.
  • Television survives on one word: Repetition.
  • Everyone vegetates on weekends infront of the tv... so why judge if somebody wants to do it on a weekday?
  • All love songs sport "jeena nahi hai gawara" try it.
  • How to piss off guy arranged by folks? Wear old scrappy jeans, hang your head and dont talk.
  • Auto wallah's respond only to sarcasm and mutinous pouts.
  • Stoner's kiss  like cross eyed frogs... go figure.
  • Psychology undergrads absorb everyone save themselves.

More Later.

Me or the Underbelly?

The underbelly of Delhi emerges to show off dirty linen

Who are these people? Are they my own countrymen? Is this lust or this a mirror? Is this reality or maybe just the new fad? As I type this, my first blog entry I am simultaneously watching three news channels. One just reported on how unsafe Delhi is – on a regulalr basis. The second showcased the latest incident of violence caught live on camera as Assamese locals beat the crap out of a few men mostly tribals and activists. [Hey! No judgments here , ofcourse they had a legitimate reason] and the third - a five second clip of Govinda (the actor) slapping someone on camera. January of 2008 ofcourse brought the Mumbai incidence of girls being mauled by public.
News channels are slitting throats so that you can see for yourself why you’re not safe anymore. Then again, were we ever really safe? Really? Oh yes, that was the British Raj, pardon me Now that we have independence and a sanskriti, we can’t afford to let the western world see us any differently. The globe sees India as a young booming nation and they pump us with us with their MNC’s and hey! We want it all. Infact we have been wanting it all for the last fifty years and so we steadily swept away issues of sex and suppression until even the rug started coughing aloud the dust. And oh look! Its all full of lust, untamed wild abandonment. We don’t care about judgments; we don’t give a rat’s ass about being shamed. We just want that piece of ass because swarg or heaven is just a word. Delhi hasn’t “suddenly” become unsafe. We have years and years of sexual repression and lawlessness and finally it’s emerged from the underbelly to show off its head.

Frankly I think its time to take to the hills.
